The baths of Diocletian are the most magnificent spa complex ever built in the Roman world. Built between 298 and 306 ad, the baths were transformed starting in 1562 by Michelangelo who created the Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli e dei Martiri Christians and triggered the realization of Certosa occupying many other environments.
