The artisan gelato is an absolute pride of the Sicilian tradition, known and imitated in the world. It offers everyone, without age limits and in all seasons, an explosion of colors and flavors absolutely irresistible. This delightful traditiis rooted in a millenary past, dating back to the 9th century, when Arabs colonized the island with citrus fruits and taste for the ice cream parlor. To prepare ice creams and granites, the snow was preserved for summer in specially-called Neviere houses - excavated in particularly fresh areas on Etna, and then used with honey, fruit and lemon or orange juice.
